Technitrol's two business segments are:
Electronic Components (65% of 2007 sales), which is engaged in the design, manufacture and sale of a variety of passive electronic components including transformers, filters, chokes, inductors, delay lines and component modules. Pulse is also a leading producer of antennas for wireless handsets and other terminal devices, plus a variety of coils for automotive ignition systems and controls. Primary customers are leading manufacturers of electronic equipment for local area network (LAN), consumer electronics, telecommunications, broadband/Internet access, power conversion, automotive and military/aerospace applications.
Electrical Contact Products (35% of 2007 sales), the world's leading producer of electrical contacts, contact materials and contact assemblies. Primary markets are appliances, automotive, commercial and industrial machinery, construction and electric power generation and distribution.
