Harris H. Simmons Chairman
Harris H. Simmons is chairman, president and chief executive officer of Zions Bancorporation; chairman of Zions First National Bank; and a director of Questar Corporation and O.C. Tanner Co. He was president and chief executive officer of Zions First National Bank prior to 1998 and has been an officer of the Company since 1981. He has been president and chief executive officer of Zions Bancorporation since 1990 and chairman since 2002. Simmons first worked for Zions in 1970 and has served in a variety of positions with Zions First National Bank and Zions Bancorporation in more than 30 years with the organization. He is a graduate of the University of Utah and has an M.B.A. from Harvard University. Simmons is a past president of the American Bankers Association.
Roger B. Porter
Porter served on the Zions Bancorporation board of directors from 1986 to 1988 and rejoined the board in 1993 following a period of public service. He is the IBM Professor of Business and Government at the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government and Master of Dunster House. In addition, he is a Senior Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and faculty chairman of Harvard's Program for Senior Managers in Government. Porter served in senior economic policy positions in the Ford, Reagan, and George H.W. Bush White Houses. He received his B.A. degree from Brigham Young University and studied as a Rhodes Scholar and Woodrow Wilson Fellow at Oxford University, where he received a B.Phil. degree. Porter received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard.
Jerry C. Atkin
Atkin joined the Zions Bancorporation board of directors in 1993. He is chairman and CEO of SkyWest, Inc. In July1974 he joined SkyWest as a member of the board of directors and the director of finance, and became CEO in 1975. Atkin is also chairman of the board and CEO of SkyWest Airlines and Atlantic Southeast Airlines, both of which are subsidiaries of SkyWest Inc. He was elected chairman of the board of Skywest, Inc. in June 1991 and has led the company as its annual revenues have grown from less than $1 million to more than $1 billion. Atkin received a B.S. and an M.BA. from the University of Utah and practiced as a Certified Public Accountant for two years prior to joining SkyWest.
R. Don Cash
Cash has been on the Zions Bancorporation board of directors since 1989. He was Questar Corporation's chief executive officer from 1984 to 2002 and was chairman of the board from 1985 to 2003. Cash was also president of Questar from 1984 to 2001. He has been a director of Questar since 1977 and also serves on the boards of National Fuel Gas Company, TODCO, Associated Electric and Gas Insurance Services Limited, and Texas Tech Foundation, Inc., and is a former director of Zions First National Bank, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (Salt Lake City branch), and Energen Corporation. Cash received a B.S. from Texas Tech University.
Patricia Frobes
Frobes joined the Zions Bancorporation board in 2003. She has retired as group senior vice president of Legal Affairs and Risk Management, and general counsel and corporate secretary of The Irvine Company. Prior to joining The Irvine Company, Frobes was a partner and vice chair at O’Melveny & Myers LLC. She is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers; a past chair of the California State Bar, Real Property Section executive committee; and past co-chair of the California State Bar, joint committee on Reform of Anti-Deficiency Laws. She also has served as a member of the boards of trustees for the Ballet Pacifica and the Newport Harbor Art Museum. Frobes received her B.S. degree from Antioch College and J.D. from the University of Utah.
J. David Heaney
Heaney joined the Zions Bancorporation board of directors in 2005. He was a founding director of Amegy Bancorporation, Inc., which was acquired by Zions in December 2005. While on Amegy’s board, Heaney was a member of the executive and risk committee and its compensation committee, and chairman of its audit committee. He remains a member of the board of Amegy Bank. Heaney is the co-founder and chairman of Heaney Rosenthal Inc., a financial organization specializing in the acquisition of businesses in various industry sectors He has also served as vice president of finance and chief financial officer of Sterling Chemicals, Inc Heaney received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Texas and was a partner in the firm of Bracewell & Patterson (now Bracewell & Giuliani).
Stephen D. Quinn
Quinn joined the Zions Bancorporation board of directors in 2002. He is retired from Goldman, Sachs & Co ., where he was managing director and general partner, and specialized in Corporate Finance. He spent two decades at Goldman Sachs structuring financings and other transactions for some of America's best-known corporations. In addition to Zions, he is a director of Group 1 Automotive, Inc. and American Express Bank, Ltd. Quinn is a graduate of Brigham Young University and the Harvard University Graduate School of Business.
L.E. Simmons
Simmons has been on the Zions Bancorporation board of directors since 1978. He is the founder and president of SCF Partners. Prior to founding SCF, Simmons cofounded Simmons & Company International, where he was a partner between 1974 and 1989. Before that, he was a corporate finance officer at The First National Bank of Chicago. He is chairman of the board of Oil States International., and serves on the boards of Express Jet and Simmons Media Group. He is also on the board and is former chairman of Texas Children's Hospital, a trustee of Rice University and chairman of the Council of Overseers of its Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management, a trustee of The Gordon and Mary Cain Pediatric Neurology Research Foundation, and is on the board of the Houston Endowment, the Harvard Business School Visiting Committee, and the Sam Houston Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Simmons received a B.S. from the University of Utah and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
Steven C. Wheelwright
Wheelwright has served on the Zions Bancorporation board of directors since 2004. He rejoined the Harvard Business School faculty as a Baker Foundation professor in 2003, after retiring in 2000 as the Edsel Bryant Ford professor of business administration.. From 1995 to 1999, Wheelwright served as senior associate dean of the M.B.A. program. He then served as senior associate dean and director of faculty hiring and planning and had oversight of distance learning. Wheelwright currently oversees the HBS Publishing Company as chairman of the board He was the Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield and Byers professor of management at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in the 1980s. In addition to Zions, he is a board member of O.C. Tanner Company, Quantum Corporation, and CheckSum. Wheelwright received a B.S. degree from the University of Utah and a Ph.D. from Stanford.
Shelley Thomas Williams
Williams joined the Zions Bancorporation board of directors in 1998. She is currently a public affairs/communications consultant for various companies and nonprofit organizations. Williams is former senior vice president for the Olympic Winter Games of 2002, senior director of communications at the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah, and vice president for public affairs of Smith’s Food & Drug Centers, Inc., now part of Kroger Corporation. Before that, she was a reporter and anchor at KSL-TV in Salt Lake City, Utah. During that time, Williams received an Emmy, the National Press Club Consumer Journalism Award, and the G. Allen Award from the National Chapter of Women in Broadcasting. She was a Trustee of the University of Utah from 1991 to 2001. Williams is on the board of directors of The Regence Group in Portland, Oregon, and is a member of the International Women’s Forum. She received a B.A. from the University of Utah.

Doyle L. Arnold Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer
Doyle L. Arnold is vice chairman and chief financial officer of the company. He was named as CFO of Zions Bancorporation in November 2001. Arnold was formerly group executive vice president for Corporate Strategy and Development at Bank of America Corporation in San Francisco. He has served in a variety of executive management positions at BankAmerica, and prior to that at Wells Fargo & Company. Arnold also served as Senior Deputy Comptroller of the Currency and executive assistant to the Deputy Secretary of the Treasury during the Reagan administration. He has served as chief financial and administrative officer of Bankserv, Inc., a leading electronic payments company. Arnold is a graduate of Rice University, and has an M.B.A. from Stanford University.
Bruce K. Alexander EVP, CEO of Vectra Bank Colorado
Executive vice president of the company and president and chief executive officer of Vectra Bank Colorado, Bruce K. Alexander has been an officer since 2000. Prior to joining Zions, he served as the executive director of the Denver Urban Renewal Authority from 1999 to 2000. During this time he was also an executive vice president of Bank One from 1997 to 2000. He joined Vectra Bank Colorado in March 2000. Alexander has also served on the board of regents of National Bank. He currently serves as a member of the board of directors for Denver Health, the largest provider of indigent care in Denver, as well as a member of the board for Denver’s Land Use and Transportation Advisory Council. Alexander is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
A. Scott Anderson EVP, CEO of Zions First National Bank
Aldon Scott Anderson is executive vice president of the company and president and chief executive officer of Zions First National Bank. Prior to January 1998 he was executive vice president of Zions First National Bank. Anderson has been an officer since 1990. He joined Zions Bank as executive vice president of Retail Banking. Prior to that, he spent 17 years with Bank of America in San Francisco, holding a number of positions, and also spent seven years working in Bank of America’s Asia Division, headquartered in Tokyo. Anderson received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and economics from Columbia University and has a master’s degree in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
David E. Blackford EVP, CEO of California Bank & Trust
David E. Blackford is executive vice president of the company and chairman, president and chief executive officer of California Bank & Trust. Blackford has held his current position since May 2001. He joined the company in 1998 and has been a member of California Bank & Trust's board of directors since that time. Prior to that, he was managing director of Real Estate Finance, executive vice president of the Orange County Division and managing director of the bank. He has many years of high-level banking experience, including serving as executive vice president and manager at Bank One, Southwestern Region. Blackford is a graduate of Williams College.
George M. Feiger EVP, Wealth Management
Executive vice president of Zions Bancorporation, and president and chief executive officer of Contango Capital Advisors; George M. Feiger brings a diverse background in the banking, financial services and wealth-management industries to the company. Prior to joining Zions in 2003, Feiger was general manager of UBS AG. and served in a number of senior positions in the financial services sector. He was a senior advisor to the Monitor Group, global head of Onshore Private Banking for UBS, Global Head of Investment Banking at SBC Warburg and a senior partner at McKinsey & Co. Feiger was also a partner at Capco, a financial services consulting firm. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University and was an associate professor of finance at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.
Dallas E. Haun EVP, CEO of Nevada State Bank
Dallas E. Haun, executive vice president of the company and president and chief executive officer of Nevada State Bank, joined Zions Bancorporation in September 2007. Prior to that, he served as executive vice president for California Commercial and Private Banking Services at City National Bank in Los Angeles. In that position, Haun oversaw 12 regional commercial and private banking centers, as well as business development officers throughout California. He began his career with Detroit Bank and Trust in Michigan, then moved to California, where he spent 20 years with Harbor Bank of Long Beach. He served as president and chief operations officer until the bank’s sale to City National in 1998. A graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Haun received his postgraduate degree from the University of Washington’s Pacific Coast Banking School. He also completed the Executive Program at the Anderson School of Business at the University of California, Los Angeles.
W. David Hemingway EVP, Capital Markets and Investments
W. David Hemingway is executive vice president and chief investment officer of Zions Bancorporation and executive vice president of Zions First National Bank. He has been an officer since 1977. Hemingway began his banking career with Zions in September of 1973. He has served in a variety of positions, including his most recent position as chairman of the board for Zions Direct. Hemingway holds a political science degree from Brigham Young University and an M.B.A. degree from the University of Utah.
Dianne R. James EVP, Chief Human Resources
Dianne James is executive vice president and chief human resources officer of Zions Bancorporation, and executive vice president and director of human resources of National Bank of Arizona. Prior to joining Zions in 2006, she spent ten years in various human resources leadership roles with Harrah’s Entertainment. Dianne began her career in Pennsylvania, where she attended University of Pittsburgh, and worked a variety of retail and human resources roles at Mellon Bank over a 17 year period. She is a member of both the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Human Resource Planning Society (HRPS), and holds a Senior Professional Human Resources designation. Dianne is a member of Arizona Bankers Association Human Resources Committee, Phoenix Women’s Executive Group and a board member and treasurer of the Phoenix Public Library Foundation.
Thomas E. Laursen EVP and General Counsel
Thomas E. Laursen,is executive vice president and general counsel of Zions Bancorporation. He joined the company as general counsel in 2004. Laursen began his legal career in 1984 with Sullivan & Cromwell in New York City, where he was a member of the firm’s banking and corporate practice groups for ten years. Thereafter he practiced with O'Conner Cavanagh in Tucson and Phoenix for five years and with Holme Roberts & Owen in Denver and London, England for five years. Laursen has substantial experience in banking, mergers and acquisitions, securities and corporate matters. He graduated from Columbia Law School with a J.D. and has a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Arizona.
Keith D. Maio EVP, CEO of National Bank of Arizona
Keith D. Maio is executive vice president of the company and president and chief executive officer of the National Bank of Arizona. He has served as president since 2001 and was appointed CEO in 2005. He joined the company in 1992 and has held positions in commercial lending and real estate. Maio is chairman-elect of the Arizona Bankers Association, and a member of the boards of the Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation and of the Pacific Coast School of Banking. He has a B.A. degree from the University of New Mexico and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast School of Banking.
Scott J. McLean EVP, CEO of Amegy Bank of Texas
Scott L. McLean is executive vice president of the company and chief executive officer of Amegy Bank of Texas. Prior to joining Amegy in 2002, he was with Texas Commerce Bank/JPMorgan Chase for 23 years. From 1998 to 2001, he served as president of JPMorgan Chase in Houston. McLean held several executive positions at Texas Commerce Bank from 1979 to 1997, including chairman of the bank in Greenway Plaza (1982-1985), president in Dallas (1985-1993) and chairman in El Paso (1993-1997). He received a bachelor’s of business administration from Southern Methodist University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Joe Reilly EVP, Chief Information Officer
Joe Reilly is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Zions Bancorporation.
Since joining Zions in 2001, he has held several technology leadership positions
with the company, most recently serving as Chief Technology Officer. As Chief Information
Officer, he is responsible for providing the company’s banking affiliates with technology

Stanley D. Savage EVP, CEO of Commerce Bank of Washington
Stanley D. Savage is executive vice president of the company and president and chief executive officer of The Commerce Bank of Washington. Prior to joining Zions in April 2001, Savage was with Bank of America where he served as executive vice president and vice chairman of Seafirst Bank, with responsibilities for domestic and international Private Banking and Commercial Markets Groups. Previous posts included serving as manager of Seafirst Bank's Capital Management and Commercial Markets Groups and president and chief operating officer of Security Pacific Bancorporation Northwest and Security Pacific Bank Washington (formerly Ranier Bank).
Edward P. Schreiber EVP, Chief Risk Officer
Edward P. Schreiber is Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer. Before joining Zions Bancorporation in April 2013, he was a managing director of Alvarez & Marsal’s Financial Industry Advisory Services, where he headed the company’s enterprise risk management efforts. Previously, he served for eleven years as Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer at TD Bank, and its predecessor companies. While there, his responsibilities included oversight of compliance, and credit, operational and market risk. Schreiber began his banking career with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. During his 19 years there, he served in managerial, analytical and technical positions. Schreiber has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the College of Santa Fe in New Mexico and received a certificate from the Graduate School of Banking in Colorado. He currently sits on the Risk Management Association’s Board of Directors and Enterprise Risk Council. He has been a speaker at industry conferences, trade associations and outreach sessions and taught risk management at the former New England Banking School.
Steven D. Stephens EVP, President of Amegy Bank of Texas
Steve D. Stephens is executive vice president of the company and president of Amegy Bank of Texas. Stephens began his career with Texas Commerce Bank, where he joined the lending officer development program before eventually becoming senior executive vice president in commercial lending for Texas Commerce - Reagan. Since helping to found Amegy Bank in 1990, Stephens has led Amegy Bank’s commercial banking, retail and private banking activities. He received his bachelor’s of business administration from the University of Houston.
James R. Abbott SVP, Investor Relations and External Communications
James R. Abbott is senior vice president of Investor Relations and External Communications. Before joining Zions in 2009, he was a senior vice president and Equity Analyst with FBR Capital Markets covering the banking industry. Prior to that, Abbott was a senior bank equity research and M&A analyst at SNL Financial and also worked in retail trading at Fidelity Investments. While at Zions, Abbott has consistently been the top-ranked Investor Relations Officer for U.S. regional banks as published in Institutional Investor. In his role as Equity Analyst at FBR, he was consistently ranked as a top earnings estimator by Starmine for the Thrift/Mortgage Finance industry, with a five-star rating. In addition, Abbott has worked extensively with the media, including appearances on CNBC and Bloomberg TV and has been quoted in many business publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Barron's and the American Banker. He has actively volunteered his time in youth programs including the Boy Scouts of America. Abbott earned a bachelor's degree in business (finance emphasis) from the University of Utah.
Travis E. Finstad SVP, Internal Audit
Travis Finstad is senior vice president and director of Internal Audit at Zions Bancorporation. Prior to joining the company in October 2011, he was with Wells Fargo Audit & Security for eleven years and held various leadership positions including SVP & senior director. Before joining Wells Fargo, Travis served as VP & IT audit manager at Norwest Corporation. Travis received his honors bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Business Administration - Finance from Minnesota State University – Mankato and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Management Information Systems from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management.
Alexander J. Hume SVP and Controller
Alexander J. Hume is senior vice president and controller of the company. He joined Zions in 2006 as assistant controller and has been controller since March 2010. Hume was formerly manager in the Global Credit & Treasury Services Department at Honeywell where he oversaw cash management, forecasting, reporting and analysis efforts. He also served as manager and supervisory auditor at Ernst & Young, working with clients in the financial services industry. Hume holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Brigham Young University and an M.B.A. in finance from Thunderbird, School of Global Management, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Ronald L. Johnson SVP, Credit Examination
Ronald L. Johnson is senior vice president and director of Credit Examination. Johnson has more than twenty-five years of experience at Zions Bancorporation, where he began his banking career in 1980. He has served in several capacities prior to his present role overseeing credit examination and risk analysis, including vice president of corporate credit administration, commercial loan officer and credit analyst. He was appointed chief credit examiner, director of Credit Examination and senior vice president in 2006. Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Brigham Young University and received a postgraduate degree from the University of Washington’s Pacific Coast Banking School.
Alvin Lee SVP, Corporate Development
Alvin Lee is senior vice president and director of Corporate Development at Zions Bancorporation. He joined the company in 2002 to oversee the merger and acquisition efforts of Zions and its affiliates. Lee was named to his current role in 2007. Previously, he worked in corporate development positions at Providian Financial and Bank of America. Before that, he worked in the audit division of Arthur Andersen & Co. Lee holds both a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Norman W. Merritt SVP, Compliance
Norman W. Merritt is senior vice president of Compliance at Zions Bancorporation and executive vice president and director of Compliance at Zions First National Bank. Before joining Zions in 2005, he worked in various compliance and audit positions at Citigroup, ICS, Citibank and Bank of New York, where he began his banking career in 1973. He has a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York, Buffalo and received a certificate in regulatory compliance from the Institute of Certified Bankers in 1995.
